Katya Shilling has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Education as well as in Social Work from Liberty University. She will complete her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of South Dakota in May of 2023 and will become a licensed therapist. She is a therapist trainee and holds training in Disaster Mental Health, Crisis Management, Substance Addictions, and Suicide Prevention. She is a nationally certified practitioner through National Child Traumatic Stress Network. She also holds training in Third Culture Kids Therapies and Cross-Cultural Workers. One of her specialties is Refugee and Immigrant populations and she can conduct sessions in Russian. She has basic training in Trust-Based Relational Interventions (TBRI) and has various training in trauma-informed care.
